In 2018, Schaller paved the way for the next generation of revolutionary strap locks, the S-Locks. These new revolutionary S-Locks are silent and feature an elegant lock-wheel, one-piece hardened steel strap buttons, aesthetic design and perfect handling! The new solid one-piece strap buttons are made from hardened steel and are more than double the thickness of regular strap buttons for maximum security against breakage. 4mm self-tapping wood thread provides maximum hold for almost all instruments with existing screws in standard dimensions. Easily screw the strap buttons in with an Allen key (size 3mm/ 1/8"). The S-Locks include high-grade felt washers to protect your instrument's finish.The strap locks feature an extended thread length to secure straps up to 6mm thick. The new slanted stainless steel lock bolt ensures reliable performance and a wear-free finish while the pull-up ball provides an easy-grip lock and release. These strap locks are suitable for a standard 10mm strap hole.
The S-Locks are designed with the new lock-wheel which provides a unique 3-step security function.
- Screw the lock wheel (with patented self-locking thread) by hand.This already protects the instrument sufficiently (the round shaping must be facing the pull-up ball!).
- Tighten further with a 2mm (5/64") allen key or screwdriver if desired.
- For the final step use a micro cone-top screw M2.5X5mm to attach the lock wheel permanently.
