About the brand:

Sigma Guitars is a guitar manufacturing brand, originally released in the 1970 by Martin & Co, as a line of affordable guitars to compete with the increasing number of imported guitars from Asia. Early guitars were manufactured in Japan, then Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia. The Sigma line was discontinued by Martin in 2007, and the rights to the name were acquired by German company AMI Musical Instruments, who relaunched the brand with their guitars now produced in China. With over 50 years of history, Sigma guitars have an excellent reputation for outstanding quality, both in construction and sound.
